Nettstedene på Folk (folk.uib.no) / Org (org.uib.no) / Kurs (kurs.uib.no) ble stengt ned 30. desember 2022.

Begrunnelse for nedstengingen:

• UiB tilbyr andre tjenester som i stor grad kan dekke behovet (se under), og en nedstenging vil bidra til at vi får innhold fra Folk/Org/Kurs over i UiBs hovedkanaler.
• UiB ønsker at nettsider skal ha en felles grafisk profil og framstilling. For eksempel er det ønskelig at informasjon om undervisning, studier, forskning, kurs og konferanser der UiB har ansvaret, plasseres på www.uib.no
• Krav til universell utforming og personvern oppfylles ikke godt nok på Folk/Org/Kurs

En stor andel av de eksisterende nettsidene er utdaterte grunnet manglende vedlikehold og oppfølging.

Hvis du har en nettside på et av disse stedene som du ønsker å beholde, ber vi om at du flytter den. Aktuelle steder å flytte til kan være:

• Informasjon om en ansatts forskning, publikasjoner o.l. bør ligge i personsidene på www.uib.no. Se veiledning på manual.uib.no/webmanual/personside/
• Informasjon eller materiell som brukes i undervisning bør ligge i Mitt UiB. Se informasjon på mitt.uib.no/courses/101
• Hvis du har brukt et nettsted på Folk/Org/Kurs til å dele eller distribuere filer, vil vi anbefale at dette heller gjøres med OneDrive (veiledning på hjelp.uib.no/solutions/open-knowledge-items/item/KI%200620/no/) eller FileSender (se www.unit.no/tjenester/filoverforing-filesender)
• Nettsider kan ellers flyttes til IT-avdelingens Wordpress-tjeneste: it.uib.no/Wordpress

Eiere av nettsidene på Folk/Org/Kurs har selv ansvar for flyttingen. IT avdelingen har ikke kapasitet eller ressurser til å bistå i et slikt flyttearbeid.

The Folk/Org and Kurs services was discontinued on 30 December 2022.

Reasons for the discontinuation of these sites:

• UiB offers other services that can largely cover the need (see below), and a closure will help us get content from Folk / Org / Kurs moved to UiB's main channels
• UiB wants websites to have a common graphic profile and presentation. For example, it is desirable that information about teaching, studies, research, courses and conferences where UiB is responsible is placed on https://www.uib.no
• Requirements for universal design and privacy are not met well enough at the present sites
• A large proportion of the existing websites are outdated due to lack of maintenance and upkeep.

If you have a website in one of these places that you want to keep, we ask that you move it. Relevant places to move to can be:

• Information about an employee's research, publications, etc. should be in the person pages at https://www.uib.no. See instructions at https://manual.uib.no/webmanual/personside/
• Information or material used in teaching should be in Mitt UiB. See information at https://mitt.uib.no/courses/101
• If you have used a website on Folk / Org / Kurs to share or distribute files, we recommend that you do this with OneDrive (guide at https://hjelp.uib.no/solutions/open-knowledge-items/item/KI%200620/en_gb/) or FileSender (see https://www.unit.no/tjenester/filoverforing-filesender)
• Websites can be moved to the IT division's Wordpress service: https://it.uib.no/Wordpress

Owners of websites on org.uib.no are responsible for the move. The IT division does not have the capacity or resources to assist in such relocation work.
