This page contains material and information related to LaTeX.

Documents

The following documents are available:

• A TeX Advocacy FAQ written by Dr. Idris S Hamid from Colorado State University. This is a draft version and Idris welcomes any comments. (A related document is Why TeX? written by Jim Hefferon from St Michael's College.)
  
  
• A "LaTeX2e-fied" version of the user guide for the seminar package written by Hans Fr. Nordhaug. In all/most examples the old LaTeX209 commands are replaced by corresponding LaTeX(2e) commands. The guide is available as:

  • Pdf format
  (If you find this useful and think I should submit it to the maintainers of seminar, I can tell you that I have tried - with no luck.)

Classes and Packages

Here I'll list classes and packages I have made, modified or want to promote.

TeXPower

For dynamic effects in presentations I prefer the TeXPower. For other options see the overview section of the TeXPower site. I normally use TeXPower together with the foils (FoilTeX) presentation class.

TeXPower is very powerful, but therefore also some times hard to use. I have made a TeXPower AddOn with several dynamic lists - stepped, dimmed and flipped versions of itemize and enumerate. TeXPower AddOn is obsolete, since it is now part of the TeXPower bundle. The package was renamed to tplists.sty. (2003-10-08)
