Subproject 3
SEMINARS AND INFORMATION
EXCHANGE
Objectives:
- To train students and researchers and stimulate
recruitment to the field of atmosphere-ocean interaction;
- To disseminate state-of-the-art knowledge and
new
developments in atmosphere-ocean interaction to the scientific and
broader community at a national, regional, and international level.
Seminar
programme:
This programme will be continuously updated during the course of the
project. The seminars are usually held in the Foredragssalen
(2nd
floor, main bulding) of the Geophysical Institute (GFI), University of
Bergen, at 12:15 on Fridays at two-week intervals.
Talks
are normally 45
minutes, and the room is usually available until 14:00 for discussions
after the talk. Anyone (from the Bergen area or elsewhere)
who
wishes to give a seminar in this series is invited to contact the
Scientific Coordinator Alastair D. Jenkins <alastair.jenkins@gfi.uib.no>.
There will also be some support under the project for workshops and
invited speakers.
