Bergen IPPNW Student Group

What do we do ?

Over the years the group have engaged in a variety of actions and projects. We have been encouraging X-ray departments in Norway to boycott General Electric as this company used to produce not only advanced x-ray equipment, but also nuclear weapons. We have of course been collecting signatures for a comprehensive test ban many times in recent years, and cooperated with other organizations with whom we have common goals.

Current activities include:

• World Court Project

• Children and War Project

• Actions against French nuclear testing

• Information work through local newspapers and student magazines

• Internal education

• Peace/War education in high-schools

• Advocating a ban on landmines

• A lot of other things
