The Museum Project 2014
A large renovation project has now been launched for the museum buildings. The aim of the project is to be able to offer modern exhibitions, exciting educational experiences and various types of science communication about culture and nature to the public - in a grand, renovated building, and to improve storage facilities.

"New" Bergen Museum unveiled
The scaffolding on the north wing of the monumental building at Muséplass has now been removed. With that, the building now presents itself with a new colour, similar to the one it once had.

Ready in time for the Constitution bicentennial
The Ministry of Education and Research has asked Statsbygg to have the South Wing of the Bergen Museum completed by 2014. "This will be the main celebration of the 200th anniversary of the signing of the Constitution in Bergen", says Rector Sigmund Grønmo.
