National projects and carrying structures:
Molecular Imaging Center (MIC)
The Molecular Imaging Centre (MIC) is an imaging core facility with the dual mission of doing imaging methods R&D and on this basis providing the best possible service to the Norwegian scientific community. This is made possible through our state of the art imaging equipment and our highly competent scientific and technical staff. MICs organization as a core facility implies that all researchers in Norway are welcome users at MIC at equal terms through our booking system.
PROBE
PROBE is a national core facility for large scale protein analysis (proteomics) using mass spectrometry. PROBE is financed by the University of Bergen and Norges forskningsråd through the FUGE programme. PROBE is equipped for a wide range of proteomics analysis, from the identification of proteins present in a sample to comparison of protein expression profiles between different samples. Expertise in experimental design, sample preparation, sample analysis and data interpretation is available. PROBE offers service, support and collaborations to those interested in doing mass spectrometry based protein analysis on any type of sample. All researchers are from the University (UoH) and Health sectors are welcome at equal terms regardless of affiliation. Industry researchers are also welcome but at different financial terms.
