12th Bergen Conference on Cancer Research - BCCR Solstrand Hotel & Bad, 27-28. April 2011
The BCCR conference is intended for scientists and clinicians involved in cancer research in the Bergen area.
Cancer remains a major health problem. However, novel biomarkers may enable early diagnosis and serve as targets for the development of new anti-cancer therapies and treatment strategies. Personalized therapy has already proven its potential in some cancers, and will become much more important in the future, along with accurate prognostic markers for assessment of metastasis risk. We foresee a future where cancer is a disease which people live with and only rarely die from.
With this vision in mind, the BCCR conference is intended for scientists and clinicians involved in cancer research in the Bergen area. The purpose is to exchange scientific results, techniques and experiences, in order to facilitate collaborations within and between local and international research environments. The conference will provide new insight into how cancers develop and progress, and will focus on how research can move the development of new treatment principles forward. BCCR is organized by the Research School of Translational Cancer Research at the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry, University of Bergen.
We look forward to your participation and hope that you will join us at Solstrand for an exciting programme.
