Aim and Content

The aim of the course is to give students an introduction to basic neurochemistry, focusing particularly on cell communication and disease mechanisms.

The contents of the course range from studying chemical substances to intact neural cells, with emphasis on understanding mechanisms and correlations between structure and activity.

Teaching Methods

The course is mainly self-tutored.

Teacher-led seminars are held four times each semester (4 x 2 hours). The seminars are divided into thematic sections, and students are expected to prepare in advance and participate actively.

Students are also encouraged to organize their own study groups.
