English if English-speaking students attend the seminars, otherwise Norwegian
Pre-requirements
60 credits in a language related discipline or in humanities computing. The ideal candidate will be a bachelor in computational linguistics.
Learning Outcomes
Students will learn which methods and systems have been applied to language technology and will be able to assess their possibilities and limitations. Students will obtain basic knowledge for participating in the development of such methods and systems.

Aim and Content
Central areas for language technologies, methods and products. These may include: machine translation, information search, summarisation, proofreading, message understanding or text to speech, to mention some.
