Aim and Content
The studetns will learn about the microbial world and how they adopt to various environemental conditions and interactions between host and microbes in particular in sikness and in health. This is important for how we diagnose and treat infections. The students will learn about the importance of preventive measures against infectious diseases and why it is important to have a restrictive policy for antibiotic usage.
This course gives a fundamental introduction to microbiology with an emphasis on bacteria, protozoa and fungi.
