Aim and Content
The course gives an extension of the theory of error-correcting codes in INF 240 and considers construction, analysis and efficient decoding of convolutional codes, turbo codes, LDPC-codes and related codes. Different channel models and the relation between coding and modulation and techniques to combine these are studied.

Compulsory Requirements
Exercises
Obligatory activities are valid for two semsters.
Assessment methods
It is opportunity for grades on exercises, which can be included in the final grade. Oral exam. If the course has many participants, there can be written exam.
No aids allowed.
Grading Scale
The grading scale used is A to F. Grade A is the highest passing grade in the grading scale, grade F is a fail.
