Pre-requirements
Bachelor´s degree in linguistics or a language.
Learning Outcomes
The aim of the course is that students will apply and discuss scientific methods which are relevant for language related research; students will use corpus search and field methods for linguistic problems; students will use statistical methods on linguistic data.

Aim and Content
The course includes data collection, construction and use of text corpora, field methods and use of informants, construction and use of questionnaires, statistical methods for corpus data and informant data.
