Learning Outcomes
The international programme in developmental psychology focuses on developmental processes throughout the lifespan, mainly during adolescence and adulthood, with emphasis on the influence of biological, cognitive, psychosocial and environmental factors. There is also a focus on different theoretical perspectives and empirical evidence. A philosophical dimension of the programme gives a critical view of the field of developmental psychology.

Aim and Content
There is a wide range of themes, which include the following:
- Different theoretical perspectives in developmental psychology;
- Moral, social, emotional and cognitive development;
- Identity development, sexual development and positive youth development;
- Ageing, demography and development in the general population;
- Developmental psychology from a critical perspective.

Teaching Methods
Teaching will consist of a series of lectures.
Assessment methods
A 3-hour school exam, containing up to 3 questions across the course syllabus from which students would be required to answer 2.
Grading Scale
The grading scale used is A to F. Grade A is the highest passing grade in the grading scale, grade F is a fail.
