Aim and Content
The students shall have knowledge of the structural-functional relationships between cognitive processes, brain functions and their anatomical localisation. Examples of cognitive processes are cognitive control, language, and attention. The students shall also have an understanding of new methods for investigating brain functions such as neuroimaging as well as methods based on electrophysiological measurements.
Course programme:
- Lectures
- Demonstrations of ERP and fMRI laboratories

Teaching Methods
Lectures and Lab-Demonstrations
Compulsory Requirements
- Participation in lab demonstration of the ERP and fMRI labs
- A multiple choice examination
Assessment methods
Before the course can be approved the student is required to have participated in the lab demonstrations and have passed a multiple choice examination.
The final examination is a 3 hours written school exam, which is assessed by the grading scale A-F.
Grading Scale
The grading scale used is A to F. Grade A is the highest passing grade in the grading scale, grade F is a fail.
Reading List
Accessable on "My Space".
Course Unit Evaluation
The instruction provided is evaluated at least once a semester at the initiative of the course arranger. The students prepare a written report, which is discussed with the course arranger before it is sent to the Faculty of Biological and Medical Psychology.
