Aim and Content
The students shall have a command of basic aspects of survey design:
- Selecting populations; analytical and statistical generalisation
- Preparation of questionnaires
- Pilot-testing
- Strength analysis
The students gain experience with multiple regression and related analyses, including:
- Multivariate analysis of categorial variables
- Multiple regression and path analysis (partial and semipartial correlations, regression weights, multiple R, relationship with other methods, especially ANOVA)
- Hierarchic models
- Covariance analysis
- Predicted scores
The students will acquire knowledge of Structural Equation Modelling, SEM) (covariance matrices, model construction principles, chi-square and other measurements of "fit")
In addition to getting practical experience in the use of relevant software, the students are introduced to the use of graphics in analysis work and in the presentation phase.
