Learning Outcomes
After the course PTEK214 the student will be able to:
- measure properties of porous rocks with emphasis on oil and gas reservoirs
- perform experiments to determine oil production from core plugs
- interpret experiments on multiphase flow in porous rocks
- explain the impacts on fluid flow in porous rocks by parameters like permeability, pressure, temperature, capillary pressure, relative permeability and wettability
- carry out core analysis without supervision

Aim and Content
The course includes experimental methods in reservoir technology and core analysis, with an emphasis on measurements of porosity, permeability, fluid displacement, capillary pressure, relative permeability and wettability in porous rocks.

PTEK211 Fundamentals of Reservoir Physics or equivalent
Compulsory Requirements
Laboratory exercises. The laboratory exercises are valid for 3 semester.

Oral exam
Grading Scale
The grading scale used is A to F. Grade A is the highest passing grade in the grading scale, grade F is a fail.
