Aim and Content
The course will give an overview of the main unit operations that are involved in complete plants for oil and gas processing. The different unit operations are described in detail in terms of the physical principles behind the specific operation. In the second part of the course, the different unit operations are considered as complete plants and submitted to case studies using a commercial flow-sheet program. Key topics of these case studies are optimisation of individual operations as well as the complete flow-sheet with respect to quality requirements for products. A brief overview of industrial thermodynamic models is also included.
