The Department's research is carried out in close cooperation with other institutes at the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry, such as The Gade Institute, The Department of Biomedicine and The Centre for International Health. The Department of Clinical Dentistry also participates in research projects together with the Dental University Hospital.
The Department of Clinical Dentistry produces approximately 50 scientific publications and 5 PhD dissertations a year. In addition, the Department is responsible for the student research program for students within the field of dentistry, financed by the Research Council of Norway.
