            Abstracts - Currently Accepting Submissions

 

The abstract submission for the Second Meeting of the EASD Study Group on Genetics of Diabetes (EASD-SGGD) and the 44th Annual Meeting of the Scandinavian Society for the Study of Diabetes (SSSD) is open. The submission deadline is Thuesday March 10, 2009. Submit your abstract by following the steps below.

 

1.       Read the abstract submission instructions.

2.       E-mail your abstract to Ms. Christine H. Andersen (christine.andersen@pedi.uib.no) before Thuesday March 10, 2009. Late-breaking abstract submission will open April 1. The submission deadline for Late-breaking abstracts is April 10.

 

 

Selection Process

• Review Process: All abstracts submitted to the conference will be peer-reviewed through a blinded review process.

 

• Selection Criteria: Originality of work, adequacy of data, and clarity of exposition are the determinants in the selection of abstracts. The final decision with respect to selection and programming of any abstract will be made by the Meeting Planning Committee by medio March 2009.

 

• Selection Decision: Abstracts may either be (1) selected for oral presentation, (2) poster presentation, or (3) not selected. Abstracts selected for oral and poster presentation will be published in an abstract booklet.

 

• Notification: By medio March 2009, a letter will be emailed to the abstract's Corresponding Author, notifying him/her of the abstract's acceptance status, and whether it has been selected for oral or poster presentation. To ensure timely receipt of your notification, it is important that the Corresponding Author provides a correct email address.

 

 

 

ABSTRACT INSTRUCTIONS

 

IMPORTANT: Register for the meeting before you submit your abstract for consideration.

Abstracts must be submitted as electronic files (Word, RTF or PDF) to e-mail christine.andersen@pedi.uib.no. Please name the file by the PRESENTER'S LAST NAME_INITIALS (eg. NOBEL_A.doc).

1. Abstract maximum length is 300 words. Please write in Arial 11pt.

2. Abstract title should appear in all capital letters.

3. Please list the authors and affiliations directly under the title, and underline the name of the presenter.

4. Indicate the meeting name (EASD-SGGD or SSSD) in the abstract's upper LEFT hand corner of the page and the presenter in the upper RIGHT corner.
