Welcome to the laboratory animal facility
The laboratory animal facility is a core facility at the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry, and provides for service to researchers in experimental medicine.
Animal models are important in the study of physiological and pathophysiological mechanisms in animals and people.
They are also significant in translational research and make the foundation for further clinical studies in patients.
The knowledge from laboratory animal research is used on a daily basis when treating diseases in people and animals.
The laboratory animal unit has moderne facilities and much focus on maintaining good animal welfare in research.
