The course will cover a broad range of concepts, models, methods, and techniques that can be employed in user studies, design, prototyping, and evaluation. In particular, a thorough introduction to the principles of good design will be provided within the course to help the students develop a systematic approach to the design and evaluation of various interactive products. Special attention will be given to user interfaces of web-based systems and mobile computer devices. Students will gain hands-on experience in designing graphical user interfaces (GUI). The students will also learn about recent developments in the fields of interaction design and human-computer interaction.
