Mål og innhald
The course will focus on both theory and practice in order to provide the students with an understanding of key issues involved in the analysis and design of the interaction between people and digital technologies. The course will cover a broad range of concepts, models, methods, and techniques that can be employed in user studies, design, prototyping, and evaluation. In particular, a thorough introduction to the principles of good design will be provided within the course to help the students develop a systematic approach to the design and evaluation of various interactive products. Special attention will be given to user interfaces of web-based systems and mobile computer devices. Students will gain hands-on experience in designing graphical user interfaces (GUI). The students will also learn about recent developments in the fields of interaction design and human-computer interaction.
