Læringsutbyte
Through lectures and excursions, the students shall have achieved an introductory overview of central aspects of the geography of the Nordic countries and (Western) Norway in particular, with a special focus on natural resources and their use. The students shall be enabled to understand and interpret recent observations in the landscape against their historical, land-use related background, "how people have shaped their land". This includes physical ('natural'), social, cultural, economic and legal issues.
Through work on the exam paper the students shall have achieved training in scientific review work and oral presentation, at the same time as they shall have gained a deeper understanding of a particular topic related to the geography of the Nordic countries (or a part of them), which they consider particularly interesting - either personally or against their previous academic background.
