New public artwork commissioned

The Aesthetic Committee has commissioned Marit Victoria Wulff Andreassen (1971) to embellish the cafeteria at the Faculty of Psychology.

Main content

Andreassen is an artist with a Diploma from the Bergen Academy of Art and Design. She works with drawing, both on walls and on paper, and painting.  Body, gender, sexuality and identity are central topics. Andreassen lives in Stavanger, is a board member of Tou Scene and has a studio there. 

Andreassen has participated in a number of international exhibitions and has made public artworks, among others for Public Art Norway (KORO). She has received several grants, gotten support from the Arts Council Norway numerous times and is presented in various journals and books, including Gunnar Danbolt’s Norsk Kunsthistorie (Norwegian Art History) and Øystein Ustvedt’s Ny Norsk Kunst – etter 1990 (New Norwegian Art – after 1990). Her works can be found in the Collections of the National Museum, the Stavanger Art Museum and the RiddoDuottarMuseat, the Sami Collections. In 2012 she has participated in exhibitions at the Stavanger Art Museum, at Nordnorsk Kunstmuseum (Northern Norwegian Art Museum) and at the Bergen Art Museum.
