2015 - Hawa Nalwoga
Born in 1966 in Uganda, holds both an M.D. and a Master of Medicine, the latter within Pathology and both from Makerere University College of Health Sciences. Her PhD from UiB was on biomarkers in breast cancer.
Main content
She was a post post-doc in the Akslen group, and continued to work with the same team at CCBIO as Senior Engineer. As of September 2015, she also held a short-term position as a researcher at Helse Bergen, also as an affiliate of the center. She is currently engaged in the Breast Cancer Study for the Tromsø study with a special focus on breast cancer subtypes and biomarker comparisons between African and Caucasian populations, related to angiogenesis and tumor-microenvironment interactions.
