Selected Topics in Information Theory and Coding Theory
Objectives and Content
The course deals with current topics in information theory and coding theory, and its content will vary from time to time.
After completing the course the student should be able to:
- Explain and master the main methods within the topic.
- Perform independent research in the topic.
Required Previous Knowledge
At least 120 ECTS in computer science, preferably including some mathematics
Recommended Previous Knowledge
Depends on the contents of the course.
Forms of Assessment
Written exam. If less than 20 students are taking the course, it can be oral exam.
No aids allowed.
The grading scale used is A to F. Grade A is the highest passing grade in the grading scale, grade F is a fail.
