By completion of PHYS371 the student shall be able to
· explain key concepts, laws, relationships and approaches in underwater acoustics,
· explain key physical principles of the generation and propagation of sound waves in water,
· apply the fundamental physical laws and relationships to solve relatively simple problems in underwater acoustics.
The course can be used as part of the Master or PhD degree, with contents adapted to the students in question.
The grading scale used is A to F. Grade A is the highest passing grade in the grading scale, grade F is a fail.
