NGF and the Department of Earth Science invites you to a special 1 hour lecture this Tuesday the 30th of September at 11.00 in Aud2 at Realfagsbygget.

Jamie Farrell will talk to us about the seismicity and crustal structure of the Yellowstone hotspot.
Dr. Farrell is one of the world’s foremost experts on Yellowstone and was one of the scientists behind last year’s monumental discovery: The Yellowstone magma chamber is 2.5 times larger than previously estimated. Join us as we take a look at what’s behind and below one of the greatest natural threats to our civilization.
