Meters and Meters of Rock
16.07.2008 We are nearing the end of the drilling operation and have drilled over 800 meters of rock.

This photo shows a three metre length of solid Archean rock collected from the 2nd drill hole (we are very happy with this!). The continuous recovery of rock core means that are no "missing pieces in the jigsaw puzzle" when our team of scientists uses a range of microscopic chemical and geological techniques to unravel what these rocks are telling us about life and environments on earth c.3.4 billion years ago.
