Regional perspectives on knowledge, innovations and sustainable development
Professor: Brita Hermelin, Department of Human Geography, Stockholm University.
Her research interest is in economic geography and with special focus on globalization, knowledge dynamics, service sectors and urban development.
This lecture has three interrelated themes starting with wider discussions about regional geography, regional planning and regional development theory. These wide themes are made more concrete through considerations of two different debates. The first of these debates is about knowledge and learning for regional development. The second of these debates is about greening the economy and eco-innovations in regions.
