Lecture recital on Icelandic vocal music

Soprano Thora Einarsdottir and pianist Selma Gudmundsdottir from the Art Acamdey of Iceland are visiting the Grieg Academy as guest teachers in the middle of March. On Tuesday the 14th they will be holding an open lecture recital.

They are putting together a lecture-recital about the birth of Icelandic vocal music composed for voice and piano under Scandinavian influence, focusing on the years 1880-1920. They will also talk a bit about Icelandic vocal music today.
The lecture-recital is open to the public. Entrance is free.
