Sabbatical in New Zealand 2017/18: during the academic year 2017/18 I will be on a research sabbatical at the University of Otago, New Zealand. For this reason I will be away from the University of Bergen in the period July 2017-July 2018. I will still be contactable as usual via my UiB email. I will also be accepting new MSc and PhD students - get in touch if you are interested.

  • Dynamic analogue reservoir studies (analogue reservoir modelling and fluid flow simulation)
  • Application of remote sensing technologies in analogue reservoir studies: LIDAR and satellite/aerial imagery
  • Salt tectonics
  • Tectonic controls on drainage and depositional systems

Application to petroleum, CO2 storage, geothermal energy.
