Music therapy for premature infants and their parents/caregivers: "LongSTEP: Longitudinal Study of music Therapy's Effectiveness for Premature infants and their caregivers." This long-term project involves the implementation of a systematic review and meta-analysis (Bieleninik, Ghetti, & Gold. Music therapy for preterm infants and their parents: A meta-analysis. Pediatrics. 2016; 138(3)), followed by the development of a longitudinal, international multi-site randomized controlled trial to examine the ways in which music therapy impacts parent/infant bonding, infant developmental outcomes, and parent mental health (with L. Bieleninik, H. C. Braarud & C. Gold).

Meta-analysis available through American Academy of Pediatrics:

Music therapy for adults with substance use problems: The preliminary stage of this long-term project involves the completion of a Cochrane systematic review and meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials (Cochrane protocol: "Music therapy for people with substance use disorders" Ghetti, Chen, Fachner, Gold, 2017) followed by the development of an experimental study to examine the impact of music therapy for adult substance users (with J. Chen, J. Fachner & C. Gold). The work will be informed by a focused ethnographic study evaluating the systemic impact of the implementation of music therapy for people with substance use problems within the Norwegian context (with B. Stige).
