In this workshop, the project wanted to explore how the concepts of corporate social responsibility have developed and changed in parallel with the internationalization of Norwegian businesses from the 1960s till today. Is there a Nordic CSR model? How is it practiced? How does CSR differ in Norway from CSR globally?

The Energethics Project invited stakeholders across sectors, from businesses, civil society, academia and public management to discuss what social, political, financial and environmental issues influnce how CSR is done by Norwegian corporations. It is important for the project to engage not only with Statkraft and Statoil in relation to this project but also engage with other organizations and initiatives that are involved with similar issues. Therefore, the project invited, as we did last year as well, various actors who work within the same field of interest to come to Bergen.
