Main content

The focus of the documentary film is the role of language and the diversity of opinions in the climate change debate. It shows how the cross-disciplinary project LINGCLIM has worked to explore how the climate question is represented and interpreted, with methods from linguistics, psychology, political, media and computational sciences. A multitude of actors are interviewed, from different sectors – research, politics, NGOs, business and industry; various voices expressing their views on the climate challenge and the future. Topics are language use, language influence on opinions and attitudes, interests, values and emotions. Visuals are images of people in extreme weather, people in demonstrations, students at work, sources of emission, industry, technological solutions; climate science animations and figures.
