Associate professor Prudence Atukunda Friberg is co-author on an article that examining how inadequate nutrition and insufficient stimulation in early childhood can lead to long-term deficits in cognitive and social development.

Training future leaders in artificial intelligence (27.06.2023)
Over the next 5 years, a large interdisciplinary project at UiB will advance the frontier of knowledge in artificial intelligence (AI), with a particular focus on reliable and ethical development in the field. The program is supported by the EU and aims to train 19 researchers from various disciplines to become the future leaders in AI research and technology.

Individualising treatments to help people with poor impulse control (02.05.2023)
Hayley MacDonalds multidisciplinary research focuses on the neurophysiological, genetic and behavioural mechanisms of an important executive function - impulse control. Her research can help people with conditions such as Parkinson’s disease, ADHD and Tourette syndrome.

Wind energy has a very high potential for improvement, especially with regard to wake effects of the turbines within large wind farms. This work focuses the emphasis on potential of aerodynamically optimized wind park layouts and wake steering through yaw angle control.
