Bergen Resource Centre for International DevelopmentĀ organises and hosts a wide variety of academic events like breakfast fora, seminars, lectures and debates under the motto "Making sense of global challenges".

It also maintains Norway's largest collection of books and periodicals on Africa, Asia, the Middle East and Latin America. The collection covers subjects like development aid, human rights, women in development, poverty, peace and violence etc. It includes the specialised collection of UiB's Centre for Middle Eastern and Islamic Studies and Mahmoud Salih's unique Sudan collection.

The Resource Centre is a joint project of the University of Bergen and the Chr. Michelsen Institute. UiB Global is the University's contact point - please contact us with ideas for events!

All events at the Resource Centre are free and open to the public.
