Title: Towards a construction of the heat kernel for a higher step Grushin operator

Abstract: I start this talk from a geometric and group theoretical introduction of Grushin type operators and a possible integral form of their heat kernel. Then I explain a construction of an action function and a candidate of a volume function associated to a higher step Grushin operator by means of complex Hamilton-Jacobi method.
