The Faculty of Law and KOFA join efforts in public procurement

Starting this Spring Semester 2015

Main content

The Research Group for Competition and Market Law of the Faculty of Law of the UiB is very pleased to announce that starting this year we will strengthen ties with the Norwegian Complaints Board for Public Procurement (KOFA).

Through this collaboration the UiB and KOFA aim to raise awareness on the theoretical and practical importance of this discipline. Among the activities planned, legal officers from KOFA will be contributing to the EU and EEA Public Procurement Law course that will be offered in the next Autumn Semester 2015 with some additional teaching from a more practical perspective. Additionally, our researchers working in public procurement have been invited to participate in seminars and conferences organized by KOFA, such as KOFA’s Annual Conference.

Tip for our students: KOFA offers interesting research and working possibilities for students at the Faculty of Law at the UiB, such as a grant for writing a Master’s Thesis in the field of Public Procurement, and a summer job as assistant to the Secretariat of KOFA.

In case you are interested in knowing more about this collaboration and/or the research and teaching activities in the field of public procurement at the UiB please feel free to contact PhD candidates Ignacio Herrera AnchusteguiLinda Midtun and/or Kristian Strømsnes.
