Mathias Stølen Ugelvik will defend his doctoral thesis later this month, preceded by the trial lecture.

His doctoral thesis is entitled "Salmon lice as models for understanding life history evolution of parasites under intensive farming

Date and place: 20 June 2017, Stort auditorium, HIB, 10:15 am.

He will hold his trial lecture on 13 June 2017, Lille auditorium, HIB, 12:15 am. The topic is "Sexual selection in copepods".

The committee is headed by Øyvind Fiksen from BIO. The external opponents are Dr Sylvain Gandon (CNRS, Montpellier, France) and Professor Lotta-Riina Sundberg (University of Jyväskylä, Finland). The thesis has been supervised by Professor Arne Skorping and Dr Adele Mennerat (UiB).
