The 2016 Global Burden of Disease Study has been published as a special edition in the Lancet, and in a accompanying podcast you can listen to professor Ole Frithjof Norheim discussing Ethiopia's path towards the SDGs.

As part of the Global Burden of Disease 2016 Study, a special podcast has been made by the Lancet. In the podcast, GBD principal investigator Chris Murray from the University of Washington is interviewed, together with Lancet editor Richard Horton and experts on three exemplar countries: Ethiopia, Nepal and Peru.

Professor Ole Frithjof Norheim speaks about Ethiopia's impressive public health achievements, and explains the importance of the Health Extension Worker Program launched by the former Minister of Health, and now Secretary General in WHO, dr. Tedros. He also discusses how Ethiopia is progressing towards the Sustainable Develeopement Goals in 2030.
