NUCREG: Mechanisms of gene regulation and molecular interactions

NucReg consists of 4 research groups lead by Øyvind Halskau, Aurélia E Lewis, Rune Male and Hee-Chan Seo with a general interest in the molecular mechanisms of gene regulation and biomolecular interactions. These molecular mechanisms are explored in the context of normal and deregulated gene regulation in diseases. The aim of the program is to build on current expertise within the program and to develop new and collaborative research on long-range gene regulation. More precisely, the main goal of the program is to determine the molecular mechanisms leading to enhancer/promoter communication necessary for the establishment of differential gene expression programs.
