Training of police emergency response personnel (TRINPRO)

Operational psychology

Main content

The National Police Directorate emphasises the importance of competence building and situational training that can strengthen response personnel’s ability to solve real-life armed missions.

This is the starting point for the TRINPO-project that aims to study the effect of situational/decision-making training among police emergency response personnel in the Norwegian county of Hordaland. An explicit aim is to study the effect of the training on the emergency response personnel’s ability to manage unwanted and/or extraordinary incidents and crises in which the missions require the police to arm themselves.
