The research lab is translationally orientated, focusing on therapeutic targets associated with tumor-host interactions and cancer stem cells in brain tumors.

Main content

Our experimental research is based on unique animal models, in which human tumor biopsies are xenografted in immunodeficient , fluorescent animals. The resulting tumors can be separated into tumor and stromal cells on the basis of fluorescence, allowing us to assess how the stromal tissue provide a niche in tumor initiation and impact on disease progression.

Oncomatrix Research Lab, comprises about 10 persons, including postdocs, PhD, medicine, MSc,  exchange student as well as clinicians.
