Scientific presentation skills
Centre for International Health would like to invite you to a scientific seminar at Alver Hotel Thursday December 7 to Friday December 8. Alver hotel is situated an approx. 45-minute’ drive north of Bergen.
On Thursday 7 and Friday 8 December there will be a seminar on scientific presentation skills for phd-candidates at CIH. You will prepare and give a presentation from your research on the first day. It will be commented and peer reviewed by your colleagues and the facilitators. Then you adjust and give the presentation again the second day. Professors Bente Moen and Sven Gudmund Hinderaker and Associate Professor Hallgeir Kismul will be present.
We will have a joint departure from Centre for International Health, Jekteviksbakken 31, Thursday morning at 0830 in a maxi-taxi.
There is a limited number of places at the seminar. Deadline is October 20, and it is first come, first served.
The research school covers expenses for travel and accommodation.

1000 Scientific seminar starts at Alver Hotel:
1000-1030 Welcome and “How can you give a good oral scientific presentation” by Moen
1030-1100 “What is a good power point presentation” by Hinderaker
1100 Break w/fruit
1115 Preparation of presentations.
Each participating PhD candidate prepares a 15 minutes presentation of their PhD project (either the plan of the project or a result) to a scientific audience. 15 min will be used for feedback to the candidate.

0830- 0930 Participants will work on a new presentation
