Doctoral defense for Gunn Inger Lyse

Friday 9 December Gunn Inger Lyse will defend her thesis on word sense disambiguation.

We are happy to inform that Gunn Inger Lyse’s PhD thesis has been accepted for defence. The defence consists of two parts — trial lecture and oral defence.

Title of the thesis: "Translation-based Word Sense Disambiguation"

First opponent: PhD Researcher Computational Linguistics Iris Hendrickx, University of Lisboa.

Second opponent: Assoc.prof.Computational Linguistics Jörg Tiedeman, Uppsala University.

The committee is headed by professor Christer Johansson, Department of Linguistic, Literary and Aesthetic studies, University of Bergen.

The defense will be chaired by professor Johan Myking, Department of Linguistic, Literary and Aesthetic studies, University of Bergen.
