Four lectures on US history

The prominent professor at the Department of Comparative Politics will give four lectures on US history at Radøy near Bergen from October to December, organized by The Western Norway Emigration Centre.

- We are proud to offer four lectures by Professor Aarebrot, says Ida Dyrkorn Heierland of The Western Norway Emigration Centre to local newspaper Strilen.

Waiting list to hear Aarebrot

Professor Aarebrot is Norway’s most cited professor, and regularly provides political analysis of current events in Norwegian media. This February, he gave a three-hour lecture on Norwegian history on live television, drawing 230 000 viewers.

Radøy newspaper Strilen reports that public interest in the lectures is so great that 20 locals are currently on a waiting list to hear Mr. Aarebrot speak.

- Why don’t they move the thing to a bigger venue?, asks a frustrated Radøy resident in Strilen.
