Cycling World Championships and the University of Bergen
Bergen will be hosting the UCI Road World Championships between 16-24 September. Overall the university will carry on with normal activity, but there may be a few consequences regarding transportation and teaching activities for some students.
Examinations and studies
UiB will not hold any school examinations during the period 16-24 September. The teaching activities will carry on for the large part, with certain exceptions at some of our faculties. It will not be possible to be exempted from mandatory activities in this period.
We encourage you to familiarise yourself with how to travel to your place of study during this period. In general, we recommend to use public transportation, walking or cycling - and to allow plenty of time!
Please check the following websites regularly to keep yourself informed:
- Traffic management: The organiser, Bergen 2017, offers an overview of which roads are closed, as well as maps.
- Public Transportation, Skyss.
