The Museum Buildings

The Historical Museum

The building Historical Museum was completed in 1927 and was designed by architect Egill Reimers to function as a museum. Today, the building still functions as a museum. The building is listed and houses exhibitions within archaeology, ethnography and cultural history and also the beautiful room “the Crypt”, a museum shop and activity room for children. The building also houses offices for the staff of the Department of Cultural History.
