| Marie Curie Training Sites (MCTS)
at the University of Bergen give young researchers pursuing doctoral studies
in EU Member states the opportunity to undertake part of their doctoral
studies in Norway, and to benefit from working with internationally recognised
research groups in their specialised areas of research. MCTS at the University of Bergen are supported by the European Commission's Fifth Framework Programme (FP5). Information for applicants: Applications and enquiries should be made directly to the apporpriate Training site. As early as possible, contact the Training site (MCTS co-ordinator or administrator) of your choice. The host site will be able to appraise you of current opportunities and the next deadline for application. Current vacancies may also be checked by following a link from each host site's web page (see below). The host site will also be able to give advice as to the relevance of the training to your doctoral research. Potential applicants might also communicate through their research proposal with a training site supervisor, and discuss the length of stay required to carry out the project. An application form should be completed well in advance of the specified deadline. All documentation (application form, letters of recommendation, passport details, etc.) should be sent directly to the relevant training site. Applications will be subject to initial evaluation at the host department. Subsequently, succesful applications must be authenticated by the European Commission before applicants are informed whether they are accepted. |
