I believe it has been highly useful. I have 3 postgraduate degrees and I think the combination has worked best for me.

Would you recommend others to take a degree in System Dynamics? And if yes, why?

Certainly I will. I already did so to few of my friends and one of them completed PhD with Erling Moxnes. I believe the education in System Dynamics really opens one’s horizon and equips a person to understand and solve complex problems in a better way. However, I think it may get challenging at times and a strong background in Mathematics may help. Moreover, I also believe it works best for those who already have a degree in other areas such as Business, Economics, Engineering etc. System Dynamics methodology is quite universal and can be used across many disciplines.
